DEAR PROFESSOR

Dear Professor xxxxxx,

I am Zuraida, I graduated from Department of Islamic Economics, The State College of Islamic Study (STAIN Pontianak), west Kalimantan
INDONESIA.
I finished my bachelor program (B.E) in 2010 and I am very eager to continue my study for a higher degree. I plan to continue my study abroad next year. I am interested in study on Development Economics at M.I.T. Now, I am struggling for a scholarship to study in America.
I should be grateful if you would advice about what I should prepare before study on Development Economics there, and any relevant information.
I enclose a Curriculum Vitae, please contact me if you
require any further details or documents.
I have read some of your articles such as “Growth Theory through the Lens of Development Economics” and “Targeting the Poor: Evidence from a Field Experiment in Indonesia”. I am still reading about Targeting the Poor now. I’m curious about something in that field experiment, Sir, why didn’t you choose one province in Kalimantan as one of the samples?
I hope to hear from you in the near future.
Thank you very much in advance.
Best Regards,
